Branch Outing Supports Macmillan

During the Northern Branch coach outing to the Macclesfield area, Audrey Flint raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Here is her report for the day. . . . . . .
David and I thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Branch's annual outing on Saturday 27th September when we experienced the delights of some five towers in the Macclesfield area. We welcomed the relaxation after a busy previous day running a Coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The event at our home was well attended and people gave generously towards this very worthy cause. However, not all the available spaces on the games were sold ("Guess the Number of Hundreds and Thousands" (4856) and "Which Cup of Coffee had the Extra Shot of Espresso" (Cup M)) so I seized the opportunity to offer these to folk on the coach. The response was wonderful. The games were completed with both the winners, Kerry from Kinver and Diane from Smethwick donating their winnings back to Macmillan. Everyone then went on to take part in the Raffle for the benefit of the Bell Restoration Fund - what a very generous group of people!
In all I was thrilled to have raised £400.01 for Macmillan Cancer Support and am very grateful to all who supported this effort. Thank you very much.
