On the left as you enter via the West door is the first of two very steep stairs with open treads. This takes you into the old ringing room. The next stairway (just as steep as before) has 25 open steps to a trapdoor into the ringing room. Not for the faint hearted, but at least the rope draft is short. This area is famous for its glass blowing and cutting. The Stuart Crystal glass cone is a short distance in the direction of Amblecote church
Visiting ringers should seek the tower correspondent details from the W&DCRA annual report Northern Branch section, which is also available online in the Association section of this site.
