Roll of Honour

4 August 1914 -11 November 1918

Special ringing has been performed throughout the Association area to commemorate one hundred years since the 1914-18 war.
We now know of twenty-nine members of the Association and other ringers in the Association area who died serving in His Majesty’s forces during, or as a result of, that conflict.
The rolls of honour in Worcester Cathedral and in the 1918 and 1919 Association annual reports show the names of twenty-three of these men.

Bells rang out on and around 11 November 2018 to remember, not only the twenty-nine ringers from the Worcestershire area but also the rest of the approximately 1,400 ringers who lost their lives serving during the first world war. Details of these performances can be found at
