Creating Useful and Current Data.
To enable these pages to be useful to members of the W&DCRA as well as other ringers who may be visiting the area it is important that the information is kept up to date. Your help in contributing to the notes topic such information regarding amenities in the local area would be greatly appreciated.
Content of Tower Information Pages
All the tower pages are generated from a common template. Each topic is discussed in the order in which it appears.
- Church Photograph’s
All the photos have been taken since 2024 during my travels, when available inside the churches, towers, the bells, photographs, peals boards and anything else shows ringing and this will be updated as we collect more photographs over the years.
We are also capturing as many Peals Boards, Quarter Peals board and boards as parts of a Nationwide campaign. - Notes
We are building a new historical database of the bells, the tower and its history, with other relevant information such as access and parking information. Contributions to these notes are welcome and can be emailed directly to provide further details. - Bells and Weights
This will be developed over time, but will show how many bells, the weight of the tenor and tuning. - Location
Showing the OS data, and now What3Words and a new interactive map, will allow easy viewing and directions for all. - Ringing Information
Current ringing times, and frequency are sourced through the Branch Secretaries and direct contact, you will be able to fill in the form below for any urgent updates so that this can be changed quickly on the website. - Contact Details
We are using a Contact form, and using the data from the Annual Report or Branch Secretaries, your email will either goto Tower Correspondent, Tower Captain, Church Warndon, this will be highlighted above their name.
Any social media accounts, and towers website will also be added to this section. - Peal Records
Records from both Felstead and Bell Boards for all performances that have been rung at the tower.
