The aim of the day is to encourage participation by as many Branch Tower bands as possible. If your tower is unable to enter a band, do come along as the competition marshals will ensure that you get a ring.
Both competitions are for 6 bell bands
Bill Berry Call Change Competition
The band should include at least 3 Sunday Service ringers from one tower.
At least one ringer must not be able to ring a method on an inside bell.
The test piece will be 4 minutes of call changes which will include the rounds at the beginning and end.
The call changes must include Queens 4 minutes practice will be allowed.
The start of the test piece will be signalled by two whole pulls on the treble.
A ringer can ring for more than one band.
Failure to stand a bell at the end will not be penalised.
Ron Daniels Change ringing competition
The band should include 3 Sunday Service ringers from one tower
The test piece will be 120 changes of doubles or minor (multiple plain courses are acceptable)
The rounds at the beginning and end of the test piece will not be marked.
Failure to stand a bell will not be penalised.
4 minutes practice will be allowed.
The start of the test piece will be signalled by two whole blows on the treble.
A ringer can ring for more than one band.
